Diego Venturino

Lecturer at the University of Lorraine in Metz, Diego Venturino is a specialist of noble ideology of the 17th and 18th centuries (Boulainvilliers, Saint-Simon, Montesquieu), as well as the history of historiography of the modern period and its extensions in the 19th century (Dubos, Voltaire, particularly Le Siècle de Louis XIV, the positivist school). The common thread of his research is the various definitions of monarchical legitimacy under the Ancien Régime.
