Carole Dornier is Professeur of French literature at the Université of Caen. She has published a study of Crébillon fils (Le Discours de maîtrise du libertin, Paris: Klincksieck, 1994), a critical edition of Considérations sur les mœurs de Duclos (Paris: Champion, 2000), several articles elle a publié des (she has published) articles and collections on moralists of the eighteenth century (Vauvenargues, Duclos, Rousseau...), on the testimony (Dix-huitième siècle n° 39, 2007) and the Pensées de Montesquieu (Montesquieu’s Pensées). Elle (She) has been a participant in the Œuvres complètes at the Voltaire Foundation (presentation and annotation ofLe Temple de Gnide and Voyage à Paphos), and currently is director of a research project on (the) abbé Castel de Saint Pierre.
